Thus, despite everything that it offers us by default, many of its functions are found in other alternatives that could be considered more interesting. To a great extent all this will depend on the level we have in the editing jobs, the outlay that we are willing to make, and the type of work that we need. In fact, we can say that on many occasions we could rule out the Adobe program to edit photos and opt for some other option. This is the case of the aforementioned Kritaa program that will surely surprise more than one due to the advantages it offers us.
In fact, in these same lines we are going to talk about some of the reasons for choosing this solution and discarding it. Photoshop from Adobe. And it is that despite being the most popular proposal of the software giant, it does not mean that it is always the best.

Well, at this point we will tell you that one of the main advantages offered by this software solution for editing photos is that it will not cost us a single euro. It goes without saying that the fact of being a free software will give us a very important added value for most of us. It is also worth noting at this point that this photo editing solution is cross-platform.
That means that contrary to what happens with the Adobe program, this one will be able to download and install it on our Linux based computer. It may also be the case that we are used, for whatever reason, to using the aforementioned Adobe program. Well, if so, it is interesting to know that the Krita’s user interface is similar to that of the aforementioned. Even the layout of the functions and tools that we can use here is similar.
On the other hand, it is also interesting to highlight everything related to the compatibility of formats with which we can work here. It should be noted that we are hardly going to have any problems when opening and editing photo files in open source software. What’s more, I’m sure Photoshop regulars will be glad to know that the program is compatible with PSD format native to Adobe’s proposal.
