The Huawei P30 Pro introduced the 50x digital zoom periscope camera to the market last year, and it is now increasingly common to see solutions of this capacity, or the like. Earlier this year, Samsung went one step further and introduced the Galaxy S20 Ultra with 100x Digital Zoom Space, but it won’t take much longer for Xiaomi to overtake it.
@Xiaomishka, a well-known Xiaomi device information filter, reports that Xiaomi is preparing a smartphone with a 120x digital zoom. That is, with a periscope sensor capable of approaching objects 120 times.
Xiaomi CC10 with 108 megapixels
The smartphone is named code Xiaomi CAS and, according to the information, it will have a main sensor of 108 megapixels. The report ensures that the optical zoom of this sensor will be 12x, with the 120x zoom being fully digital, that is, with image processing, which does not ensure the best graphic quality.
The most interesting detail is that Xiaomishka ensures that this smartphone will reach the market as the Xiaomi CC10, that is, it will be the successor to the Xiaomi CC9 Pro, the company’s first smartphone with five cameras and a 108-megapixel sensor, known in Mexico and the West as the Mi Note 10. In this way, rumors say that it will have a mid-high range Snapdragon 765G chipset and 5G connectivity, and would become the company’s second smartphone with periscope zoom, after the Mi 10 Lite with 50 magnifications.
Leaving aside the issue of the usefulness of zoom of this capacity, it is expected that the Xiaomi CC10 with 108 megapixels and 120x digital zoom will be presented next July. This launch expectation is strange since the previous model was presented in November of last year, but with Xiaomi and its many launches, you never know. We look forward for news.
