The experts agreed when seeing the estimates: the iPhone 12 has been a “supercycle” comparable to the iPhone 6. That is, many users of an iPhone chose to renew the terminal and buy the latest generation during the last twelve months. What can we expect now that the iPhone 13 is around the corner? After a supercycle, sales are hopelessly relaxed.
A Savings survey suggests how far you can relax: of the 1,500 US iPhone users, around 10% know for sure that they will acquire the iPhone 13. 26% are thinking about it and declare themselves undecided. 64% are clear that they are not going to renew.
What is wanted more: satellite calls, more camera and more battery
The same survey also asks about the rumored feature of the iPhone 13 that is considered the most interesting, and surprisingly the one that has received the most appreciation is being able to make calls via satellite (It is not certain that we will see it this year and it will have limitations). Behind it is followed by a better camera and autonomy. The least interesting are the possibility of new colors and a fingerprint reader under the screen.
AppleInsider reflects another survey, this time in the UK, which reflects more interest: 19% of the 2,000 iPhone users surveyed plan to renew. Additionally, another survey from MBLM analytics indicates that loyalty of Apple users during the pandemic has increased.
There are many factors to try to analyze if the sales of the iPhone 13 have been well: number of units available, the shortage of semiconductors, availability of reserves around the world … the key figure will be in January 2022, when we look at the revenue from the iPhone division in financial results.
